What Level Does Kabuto Evolve

Okay, let's talk Kabuto. Not the helmet, the Pokémon! You know, the fossil dude with the hard shell and those...interesting eyes.
We all know Kabuto evolves into Kabutops. That's Pokémon 101. But here's the thing that keeps me up at night (okay, maybe not that much, but still...).
What level should Kabuto evolve?
Must Read
The "Official" Answer (Boring!)
The games tell us Kabuto evolves at level 40. Fine. Whatever. Level 40 is the magic number the game code gods decided on. But is it right?
Think about it. Level 40? That feels…late. Like, "should be able to take on the Elite Four" late. Is Kabuto really that weak until level 40? I'm not convinced.

My (Totally Correct) Opinion
Here's my hot take, and feel free to disagree (but you'd be wrong): Kabuto should evolve WAY earlier.
I'm thinking… level 30. Maybe even 25! Hear me out.
Kabuto is a fossil Pokémon. It's ancient. It's presumably spent millennia chilling as a rock. Does that sound like prime physical fitness training to you?

No way. This thing is starting from scratch. Level 40 implies some serious grinding. Imagine poor little Kabuto, slowly but surely defeating countless Pidgeys and Rattatas, just to… what? Become a Kabutops that looks only slightly more intimidating? The payoff doesn't match the effort!
At level 25 or 30, Kabuto is still relatively weak. An evolution at that point would represent a significant power boost, a necessary step for survival in the harsh world of Pokémon battles. It feels earned, but not excessively so.

Think About the Kabutops!
Kabutops is a stone-cold killer. We're talking razor-sharp blades for hands, capable of slicing through anything. That level of ferocity feels...appropriate for a mid-stage evolution, not something held back until the brink of endgame content.
Think of all the other fossil Pokémon evolutions. Omanyte evolves into Omastar at level 40 too. But does anyone actually use Omastar effectively? Not really. Maybe if it evolved earlier, it would be more viable! Okay, maybe that's a separate argument entirely, but the point stands!
The Unpopular Opinion Nobody Asked For
So, yeah, I'm saying it. Level 40 is a crime against Kabuto-kind. These little shellfish deserve better. They deserve an earlier evolution, a chance to shine, to slice and dice their way through the competition at a reasonable pace.

I understand this is a radical idea. It challenges the established norms of the Pokémon universe. But sometimes, you have to stand up for what you believe in, even if what you believe in is that a fictional rock-crab should evolve five or ten levels sooner.
So next time you're raising a Kabuto, remember: it's not weak, it's just… underdeveloped. And maybe, just maybe, it's secretly wishing it could evolve a little bit faster.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go write a strongly worded letter to Game Freak.
