Ds2 Where To Go After Sinner

Alright, Champion of Ash, so you've just slapped the Ruin Sentinel silly and roasted the Lost Sinner! Congratulations! You've earned yourself a breather (and maybe a celebratory Estus chug). But now you're probably staring blankly at the bonfire, muttering, "Okay, Dark Souls 2... what's next?" Don't worry, we've all been there. This is where the open world-ish nature of Drangleic can be a little overwhelming. But fear not, brave undead, this guide is here to point you in the right direction – or directions, plural! Because, honestly, you have options.
Option 1: Heirs of the Sun (and Iron)
The most common, and arguably the easiest (relatively speaking, of course, this is still Dark Souls), path is heading to Iron Keep. To get there, you need to visit Huntsman's Copse. Remember that little path you ignored back in Majula because it looked spooky and probably filled with murderous undead? Yeah, that one. Face your fears! Huntsman's Copse is a pretty straightforward area, leading you to the Harvest Valley and finally, glorious Iron Keep.
Iron Keep is famous (or infamous) for two things: 1) Being a fiery deathtrap with more lava than a Hawaiian volcano and 2) Being ridiculously good for farming souls. Seriously, those Ironclad Soldiers are practically walking ATMs. Just be careful not to fall off... a lot. Trust me, we've all been there.
Must Read
Inside the Keep, you'll face the Iron King himself (well, kind of). Defeating him grants you another Great Soul, bringing you closer to unlocking the path to Drangleic Castle. Plus, you'll feel incredibly accomplished, and that's what truly matters, right? (Right?!)
Option 2: Into the Gutter (Not a Metaphor This Time)
Feeling like a change of scenery? Maybe lava isn't your thing. (I mean, fair enough.) Then head down, way down, into The Gutter and eventually, Black Gulch. To reach this charming locale, you'll want to head through the shaded woods. Remember that petrified lady blocking a lever? Pay her Licia of Lindeldt, and she will move. Now, pull the lever and head down.

The Gutter is… well, it's a gutter. Expect lots of darkness, poison, and things that want to eat you in the dark. Bring a torch! Seriously, lots of torches. You'll thank me later. (Or curse me when you run out of space in your inventory. It's a toss-up.)
Black Gulch is arguably even worse. It's a pit of tar filled with poison statues and a surprisingly agile (and gross) boss. But hey, at least it's different! Plus, beating the boss down there gets you another Great Soul, bringing you one step closer to your ultimate goal.

Why Does This Matter? (Besides the Obvious "Not Dying" Thing)
Okay, so maybe you're thinking, "Great, more places to die horribly. How is this fun?" Well, my friend, it's fun because you're growing! Every death is a learning experience. Every enemy you conquer, every secret you uncover, makes you a stronger, smarter, more resilient player. And let's be honest, there's a certain satisfaction that comes from finally beating that boss that's been giving you nightmares for the past week. That feeling of accomplishment is addictive!
Plus, exploring these different areas opens up new possibilities. You might find a new weapon that perfectly suits your playstyle. You might discover a secret covenant that gives you access to unique items and abilities. You might even find a friendly face (though those are rare in Drangleic, so cherish them when you do!).

So, What Are You Waiting For?
Don't let the seemingly endless possibilities of Dark Souls 2 overwhelm you. Embrace the challenge! Choose a path (or both!), grab your weapon, and get out there! Experiment, explore, and most importantly, don't give up. Drangleic is waiting to be conquered, and you, Champion of Ash, are the only one who can do it.
Now go forth, and may the flames guide thee!
